Nao Furuhata

Get to Know Me, Part 1

The closest you will ever be to Nao Furuhata.

She has stood at the center of the stage and shaped expression after expression for the camera. What this book holds is the face just before that. A morning gazing out the window straight out of bed, a midday mouthful of her favorite food, a night collapsing into laughter over nothing in particular. Not for anyone to see: Nao Furuhata’s everyday, captured just as it is. “Get to know me” — true to the words, every page you turn brings her closer.

Born September 15, 1996, in Aichi Prefecture. Joined SKE48 in 2011 as a 5th-generation member and became one of the group’s central figures. She held her first center position on the title track of the 25th single “FRUSTRATION” in 2019, and also performed as a concurrent member of AKB48. In September 2022 she graduated from SKE48 after about eleven years. Since graduating she has been with Zest, working in earnest as a solo artist and as an actress on stage and screen. In 2024 she appeared in the NHK morning drama “Tora ni Tsubasa”, continuing to widen her range.
